Review of Nobody Knows (2004) by Mohamed F — 26 Nov 2010
Good story, bad storytelling...
The movie was too long and too random for its own good, there was too much fat to trim on that one, about 20~30 mins had to go, because that much time wasted on random scenes made the movie highly underwhelming emotionally and narratively.
The script is the culprit on this movie, the middle a.k.a. Act 2 was a mess, it had no structure and it moved the story a very tiny bit, if it was actually cut out, the movie would've still made sense.
Cinematography looks like badly handled Fuji stock, very few scenes were good, but mostly it was just sub-par, especially the night scenes shot on available light, looks like this movie needed to be shot 2 stops under and then be push processed.
