"John Wick" splits and doubles adding style and irony of a Ritchie or Besson. From the parts of an action movie adapted from a graphic novel, this updated version of "True Romance" (1993) and "A Life Less Ordinary" (1997) makes one regrets the glories of "True Lies" (1994), where Cameron's hand knew how to multiply the reading planes beyond measure.
