Review of Noah (2015) by Alasdair B — 07 Oct 2014
"Noah" is visually spectacular and boats its talented cast. Its based on the Bible story (obviously) yet it has a exciting different take. The performances of Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins, Ray Winstone, and Emma Watson are astounding. The film carried such emotion and sadness, mixes with joy and excitement.
Crowe plays a Noah that is very intriguing. He struggles very much internally. He doesn't know exactly what to do. He asked questions like what makes us different from them? Why are we so special? We are no different from the wicked. It was an interesting portrayal of an originally flat character.
Wether you believe in the Bible or not this is an enjoyable film for anyone. Stunning cinematography, epic visuals, and fantastic performances make "Noah" quite an epic film.
