"Noah" is best understood as an epic that uses the Jewish mystical traditions about Noah as its basis. By keeping in mind that Darren Aronofsky's "Noah" has as much in common with the Biblical Noah as does 'Evan Almighty," it's actually a pretty engaging and entertaining movie that serves as a rebuttal to the adherents of voluntary human extinction.
