Review of Noah (2013) by Travis B — 01 Jan 2016
I can understand why most recognize this version of Noah because for one it is heavily fictionalized, and another is that it took some concepts from religious works that are not part of the Hebrew or most Christian Bibles, like the concept of "The Watchers" from the Book of Enoch.
It does do a decent job overall in terms of a thriller, but the concept of Blind Faith and Obedience in the movie did bother me a lot. The idea that goes something like, "I must do God's work like killing people and be extremely ruthless about it because the all-powerful and all-knowing God can't seem to do it himself" is exactly the type that breeds violent extremists like Al-Qaeda or the Daesh.
