The thing that strikes you about this film is probably how low budget it is and the rather slow start...But it soon gathers pace and reveals a masterpiece in dark humour about the madness of wars and ineffectiveness of UN during their peacecorp operations.
..I certainly understand why it won the Oscar for Best Fgn Film over Amelie...It had the deeper story...
