Review of No Man's Land (2001) by Malin N — 01 Nov 2006
A film set in the Balkan wars in 1993. Two soldiers, a bosnian and a serb, ends up wounded in a trench and can't get out of there. Can they trust eachother? Another wounded bosnian turns up and discovers he has a bouncing mine beneath him.
What to do? The men has to communicate and finds they have a lot incommon but now and then reminds eachother about the fact that thay now are enemies and canät trust eachother. And what to do with the poor guy that can't move? This is both drama and satire.
The most satiric parts are when cynic war reporters films the guys in the trench bit don't do anything to help them. They just make "good TV". This is an excellent film that I very much reccomend because it shows how bizarre these situations really are!
