It spends about 25 minutes in the beginning of the movie introducing the characters. Then a fight between officials and the citizens begins. Then the main family runs for his life when they target foreigners, or people with a particular company. It's not very clear, at least at first.
With the help of a man they met on the plane they fight their way to the American embassy.
