Review of No End in Sight (2007) by Aaron R — 15 Dec 2007
One of the most evenhanded Iraq War documentaries I've seen. I've got a few quibbles with some of the details (especially the criticism of the disbanding of the Iraqi army) but overall it's a very well done film that justifies its (sometimes unfair) arguments instead of making blanket political statements a la Michael Moore.
It's not as hard on "whistle blowers" as it is on administration supporters, and unfairly uses hindsight to make many of the difficult decisions made by policymakers appear to be the work of incompetence instead of ignorance.
Aside from this, it's the best documentary out on the war yet, and greatly expands beyond the simple "no blood for oil" premise held by many antiwar advocates.
