Review of No Country for Old Men (2007) by Delmar T — 02 Oct 2013
The Coen Brothers' masterpiece is a gripping tale of violence, crime and damnation which uses the frame narrative of a man on the run from Drug Barons to explore fate, destiny, conscience, religion and evolving evil within 1980s Texas.
The film is nothing short of perfectly made, with direction that would make even Kubrick green with envy, and a constant feel of unrelenting dread. The greatest thriller since The Silence of the Lambs, No Country for Old Men must inevitably take its place as one of the greatest films of the 2000s and, indeed, of all time.
