Review of No Country for Old Men (2007) by Devin H — 10 Aug 2014
Another Cinematic achievement brought on by the Coen brothers as they build upon their careers in the movie industry. Unlike Fargo, No Country For Old Men brings forth the story of stumbling upon a twisted fate that ends the movie with no sigh of relief.
An evil drug dealing monster played by Javier Bardem earned him the Best Supporting Actor Oscar that year. His character is that of the most twisted and psychotically violent that had not been matched until Heath Ledger's The Joker saw the silver screen one year later in 2008.
This film revolves around the 1980's Texas drug trading and the effects it had on those innocent who were unfortunate to end up in their business. A film for the collection, Old Men seals the deal as the best picture winner of 2008.
5 stars.
