Review of Nixon (1995) by Grant S — 15 Apr 2010
Obviously a labour of love for Oliver Stone at a skull-crushing 3 hours long, this is a pretty stunning account of Nixon's rise and fall during his presidency. It's quite experimental too, but some of the tricks he uses, like the black and white flashbacks, look a bit dated.
Best of all is Sir Anthony Hopkins' criminally forgotten performance as Nixon.
