Review of Ninotchka (1939) by Valerie M — 19 Oct 2010
Garbo laughs, and looks beautiful doing it. This is a lovely, feel-good film that is filled with remarkable wit so good it masks the formula underneath. A little long in the running time, "Ninotchka" is nonetheless a brilliant exercise in comedy and filmmaking, and a prime example of what a romantic comedy can and should be.
