Review of Ninja Assassin (2009) by Matthew T — 24 Sep 2010
Director James McTiegue (V For Vendetta) directs this very bloody and stylish movie. For me it was the ultimate guilty pleasure. The story is a complete train wreck and the acting is sub par. I was into this movie for the highly stylized and wickedly bloody fight sequences.
Visually it was a very entertaining film, probably something that The Wachowski Brothers (The Matrix) had to do with. It's an hour and half of a wierd story that makes no sense, and a wicked blend of bullets, swords, And Chinese stars with enough blood to complete multiple transfusions.
Mediocre film, but a guilty pleasure for me.
