Another gore-fest of a movie that looks and feels like a video game (read: mortal kombat). I like my action movies with a lot of martial arts fight scenes and this one has its moments. I've never seen so much blood since Kill Bil and this time it doesn't work as well.
Rain is believable as an action star but he's not Jet Li. The story is too loopy even for someone like me who'd believe the powers of Ninjas and kung fu. If you want a lot of blood, watch this movie but don't try to think too much.
