So much CGI blood, so poor writing, all handled with a tone that would fit a movie that wasn't so completely cartoonish. The two main plot elements involving the ninja's training as a child and his later role as an assassin are glued together with all the ability of a 4 year old child, as they may as well be two different films. The action is decent and makes the movie worth a look, it's just a shame everything else is just so uneven and below par.
