Review of Nine (2009) by Nisrin A — 13 Dec 2010
That was so bad, I don't even know where to start. Rob Marshall has the imagination range of a tea spoon, and his vision, if there is any, is a disastrous insult to the work of art it is- supposedly- paying tribute to.
The acting was mundane, even from Daniel Day Lewis; it was like everyone was trying so hard, and yet failing miserably, in my opinion, to capture the true spirit of what they were supposed to be embodying.
As much as I love Lewis, I have to say I appreciated Fellini's Marcello Mastroiani more as Guido.
