Review of Nim's Island (2008) by Denise K — 31 Aug 2009
It was disjointed. There were good parts (some humor, some adventure) and good things (love the actors) about the movie, but in the end...they didn't it. There was no real climax or I might say what was suppose to be the climax fell flat.
I think kids are smarter than this. Won't they ask what was the PLAN if something happened to Dad? or if there was a MONSOON and the satellite dish didn't work. As with most female heroins...she ended up crying and didn't really live up to the strength she had in the beginning.
This could've been a better movie. I was disappointed.
