Ah, DVDs. Whatever did I do without them? This film was good, but if it had included the deleted scenes (available on the DVD special features) it would have been much better. The scenes regarding Nim's imaginary friends from her stories give her a closer connection with the character of Alex Rover and her imaginary friend from her books.
The parallel seems a bit lopsided without them. Still the film was enjoyable. I still want to know where the electricity came from on an uninhabited island.
