Review of Nim's Island (2008) by K G — 26 Jul 2010
A cute movie. i'm sure any kid who sees this movie will want to have a house like theirs, but I don't see how they had two bad storms in less then nine days and didn't have the house better designed for storms.
there are countless other little things that don't entirely make sense (how jodie foster's alex could arrange travel plans to a remote location in an afternoon on the day of the trip, for example), but the movie is cute.
actually, now that I think about it, the story itself is rather unbelievable, but it makes for a good, entertaining movie.
