I don't understand why so many hate this movie. I don't think it's a masterpiece by any means, but I don't get the whole "It didn't teach my kids" argument or the "too much product placement" argument. First, maybe your kids don't want to be taught, maybe they want to be entertained for once. Second, product placement is in EVERY movie. Or at least most of the big budget ones. "It has no imagination, the characters are boring, I didn't believe I was there, the story was implausible" ... Let me ask you, did you watch it? Did any one force you? Did you watch it to the end? Then why are you complaining?
Parents, I suggest this movie to your kids, and to you. It's a good family film. Sure the story isn't perfect, but then what is? It's a funny movie, and it's worth spending a couple of hours to watch it.
