Review of Nil by Mouth (1997) by Emma-Leigh J — 28 Feb 2009
It'd be hard to write this review without using the word fuck (or a variation thereof) or cunt. Where to start? The plot is breathtaking, gritty, realistic... it's amazing. The acting is phenomenal, the script is believable and the make-up is truely worth mentioning.
It was a little bit like a busman's holiday watching this film and my husband didn't see the point in 'watching something so facking sad' but I found it moving and well worth the two plus hours I spent on it.
If you want to have a real slice of life (warts and all) and maybe learn a bit of empathy for the scum of the earth.... watch it!
