Review of Nikita (1990) by Michael B — 25 Oct 2007
Very unconventional, was really back then, and still is even today. Much better than the American remake and the TV Series didn't even come close. Parillaud isn't the porn-star looking vixon that the genre evolution now casts in every role.
And her character is 100% despicable and hated until about the middle of the second act. To pull that off, takes a remarkably strong story. The ending is very French, but works. One of Besson's few good ones.
