Review of Nikita (1990) by Scubasteve Walter M — 01 Oct 2013
The very first of its kind, in the western setup that is, this would be an inspiration to Kill Bill and Lara Croft. Luc Besson certainly have a keen eye for the unique visuals but the story seems to be average, just another assassin in the making.
But during in the 90s, this was quite new to the audiences. What I like the most in this film is the first time Jean Reno is seen on-screen as a cleaner, and he was more of a badass than in Leon. That finale was awesome, though Leon would have been smarter than the Victor (cleaner of this film).
