Review of Nikita (1990) by Bruno L — 05 May 2010
'Nikita' is basically 'Pygmalion' with bullets. A heroin-addict with a volatile personality, seemingly given a death sentence, soon becomes a well-trained assassin for a French agency. Anne Parillaud gives a pretty lively performance as the title character, as well as manage to pull off wearing a black dinner dress.
And while there's plenty of suspension of disbelief to carry with you, as well as a few flaws here and there, this is still a pretty good action thriller.
