Review of Nights of Cabiria (1957) by Steve B — 01 Jan 2008
Completely original! Haunting, hilarious, emotionally wrenching with a devastating ending that you won't forget. Likely Fellini's greatest film. And Massina's performance just may be the greatest ever put on film.
She is nothing less than extraordinary. A film you can see many, many times and never tire of it (not to be said about the American musical re-make). One of the few that can be claimed as a masterpiece.
