Review of Nights of Cabiria (1957) by Greg D — 19 Mar 2011
I actually think this film had more redemption to it than most people seem to think, but I was still hoping for that happy ending since I enjoyed the character of Cabiria so much. This film is a wonderful, meandering look into the life of a prostitute in Rome in the 50's.
She's tough, but also a bit naive and unsure of what she wants in life other than love. In the end, that makes her vulnerable and heartbroken.
