Review of Nights in Rodanthe (2008) by Dave S — 28 May 2009
A decent movie with good performances by Gere and Lane but not quite as much chemistry between the characters as they had in Unfaithful but I found myself invested in the story. And I know some people hate the Hollywood endings that turn some flicks into formulas but this one needed a different ending.
When Gere and Lane had their final scene together I kind of figured something bad was going to happen. And I think it cheated audiences who watch these characters struggling, then happy, only to rip it all away at the end.
