Review of Nights in Rodanthe (2008) by Jiaying H — 02 May 2009
My reaction to this was similar to that of MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE (1999)... tears galore. But I like the pairing of Diane Lane and Richard Gere much better than that of Robin Wright Penn and Kevin Costner.
And it was a much more tangible love-and-loss plot with greater scope of character. Excellent cast and an excellent soundtrack. I want a best friend like Viola Davis' Jean (or I want to BE a best friend like Jean).
