Nicholas Sparks sure does write some tear-jerking books that turn into tear-jerking movies. I thought that it was a decent adaptation. The casting was great and the characters seemed true to their book versions.
I think Viola Davis as Jean was the best selection. Overall, romance that made me smile and cry...I give it 3 stars...would have gotten more stars if I thought it was a movie I would watch over and over.
