Review of Nightmare City (1980) by Camden N — 07 Sep 2009
Sheer perfection. First off, the zombies are intelligent, use knives and guns, and like to rip women's shirts off (and the women conveniently never seem to wear bras). So not only do they not particularly act like zombies, they also look like someone took a dump on their faces. Need I say more? This is what I wanted when I watched Burial Ground: an awesomely inept zombie film filled with laugh-out-loud moments. Well, Burial Ground only had Peter Bark for that, but this film has the legendary Hugo Stiglitz!
Lenzi also did another, more traditional zombie film called Black Demons, but it's far less entertaining and even a little boring.
