Review of Night of the Zombies (1980) by Cassandra M — 30 May 2009

Decent gore but this film suffers from what most films of this type do, stupid characters, writing and direction.

There was some really good potential for this film if it only had better direction and some even marginally intelligent characters.

Characters that actually TRIED to get away from being eaten.

There are some really bad and meaningless wildlife segments that you might see on Animal Planet that are used instead of normal film cuts.

Tribal segments you might see on The Discovery Channel fit well into the story but dragged on a bit too long.

These things killed the horror aspect of the film. I felt like I was watching one of the mentioned channels.
