Review of Night of the Living Dead (1990) by David G — 17 Aug 2009
Stands up pretty well against Romero's '68 original considering the former is perhaps the most iconic zombie movie of all time! The zombies themselves look great, the cast is up to spec, especially Tony Todd and Tom Towles (the latters character Cooper you just want to throttle - the exact response intended) and there are some interesting differences between the two versions.
The conflict between the survivors and the "We're them and they're us" scenes towards the end are handled very well too. All in all a highly competent remake.
