This was the 1990 remake of the seminal romero movie of the same name. directed by zombie effects guru tom savini, it is a faithful adaptation to the origional with updated gore effects that are not for the squeamish.
this may vbe one of the only cases where the remake not only holds a candle to its predecessor, but quite possibly may blow it away.
