The Night of the living dead remake is not a true masterpiece, but I definitely enjoyed it as much as the original.
Going into a remake of a movie especially after seeing the original I can only hope that they will make it similar, I don't want to watch the same film, I like to see other peoples takes on particular films, and Tom Savini really gives us a good remake.
With some pretty good special effects, and mildly good acting we get an overall entertaining film.
Now I realize that you hardcore fans of the original who've not seen this will most likely consider passing this film up, but I strongly suggest that you at least give this one a chance. It is as faithful as any remake that I've seen the originals to, and it changes it just enough so that we aren't watching the exact same thing.
