Review of Night of the Living Dead (1968) by Jarrod H — 03 Dec 2010
In 1968 comes pretty much the birth of a genre. In plot is about a woman who is visting her Father's grave with her brother, later her brother is killed by a strange man. The woman then runs to a house to hide, there she meets Ben and some others and they board up the house and try to survive the night.
What is great about this movie is that how the charcters interact with each other,if they work together they might make it but they kept fighting and argueing. Back then this movie was very graphic and shooking for the time, now today it may seem pretty tame but back then nobody had seen something this graphic since "Physco" in 1960.
Now even thought the movie is old and is even in black-white I will say it was pretty intense espically the end. This movie took risks and chances and what we get is a masterpiece. So if you pretty much want to see the birth of a genre and you are a zombie fan Defenitly check this one out.
