Review of Night of the Demons (1988) by Derek S — 30 Jun 2010
A perfect exercise in '80s (not '90s) Horror. The effects and make-up were especially impressive for a movie like this, and the dark house makes for a great setting, with things popping up all over the place in the shadowy hallways.
It was surprisingly creepy--the scares kick in about halfway through, and are maintained right up until the finale. '80s Horror gets an unfairly bad rep, but this film proves that the genre does, in fact, have its merits.
