Review:

After 3 radical environmentalists blow up a dam, for some unknown reason, they find out that someone got killed in the explosion so there trust in each other gets questioned because they don't want the truth to come out. The storyline was a bit sketchy because you don't know what there exactly doing throughout the movie and there isn't much dialogue between the characters so you don't know anything about there past or what there thinking. For a 2 hour movie, it really seemed to drag and the pace and moody concept became boring after a while. The main character, played by Jesse Eisenberg, has this moody frown on his face, all the way through the movie and he doesn't really care about any of other people that he comes across. On top of that, he very rarely says a word so I failed to understand the mind behind the radical stunt. Anyway, I struggled to stay interested in this film and I got bored of the mood and tempo that the director set throughout the film. Boring!

Round-Up:

When you look at the 3 main characters in this film, who are Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning and Peter Sarsgaard, they really have starred in some impressive movies so I will put this film down as a bad choice by the three of them. Jesse starred in the Now You See Me, The Social Network and supplied his voice for the Rio franchise and with a role in the new Batman vs. Superman movie, he really can't complain about career to date. Dakota Fanning was brilliant as the young girl in Man on Fire and she also put in a great performance in War of the World's but she has seemed to have slowed down in the latter part of her career. Peter Sarsgaard has had a rollercoaster career with Green Lantern, Blue Jasmine and Flightplan in his portfolio but I've always rated him as an actor. On paper, this movie should have been much better than it was so I can only blame the director for such a disappointing movie.

I recommend this movie to people who are into their deep dramas about a group of radicals who blow up a dam and have to rely on there trust to deal with the aftermath. 2/10.
