Review of Night at the Museum (2006) by Mitchell B — 14 Jul 2013
I've never really seen the appeal of these type of kid-friendly action films. There isn't much in the way of humour and what there is is set at incredibly juvenile levels. The acting is uniformly muggy. The effects are great but there's no wow factor. There are zero surprises in the story lines. I would say this is the equivalent of a big screen translation of a children's storybook, but I definitely know there are more sophisticated storybooks out there.
The best I can say is 'competent'.
