Review of Next Gen (2018) by Jeremy B — 11 Sep 2018
A cautionary tale about addiction to technology, this film explores subtle plotlines of obsession and isolation, as well as more obvious plotlines like rebellion and enemies turning into friends. The characters all have a fairly predictable arc, however, the comedy, relatability, and level of connection of the characters shine through in contrast.
In simplistic terms, this film is almost as if IRobot, Big Hero 6, and The Iron Giant had a child together. A good watch to be sure.
