Review of New York Stories (1989) by Nicolas M — 08 Jul 2008
Woody closes the deal fortunately but Scorsese's segment is soooooooooooooo 1989 (Nick Nolte AND Rosanna Arquette AND a cameo by Peter Gabriel with hair). Coppola's "Life Without Zoe" is probabl one of his worst work (tied in with "JACK"). The only surprise was to see Carole Bouquet as an arab princess (yeah, you read it well).
Then "Oedipe's Wreck", is pure Woody comedy, so witty and fresh, Mae Questel (the mother) is absolutely hilarious as Julie Kavner and Woody himself of course.
