Review of New York, New York (1977) by Steven J — 09 Aug 2008
Not what I expected to see from two of the greats of modern cinema, De Niro and Scorsese. It is dis-jointed, doesn't really make sense. Although, I must add, it does pick up a bit. Then back to the usual drivel.
Not one of the greats of cinema, and I can't really recommend it. The music is good, the directing is good, De Niro is good. Minelli is terrible, the supporting cast aren't the greatest and the plot is dis-jointed, un-believable and just plain wrong.
