Review of New Year's Evil (1980) by Eegah I — 06 Feb 2010
New Year's Evil wants you to think that it's just another one of the many holiday-themed 80's slashers, but I have my doubts about whether anyone involved had ever even seen a real slasher flick.
The characters and plot are more reminiscent of a 70's made-for-TV crime drama. I'm not sure if they knew much about punk rock, either. Or film-making. All in all, a great movie to watch if you're in the mood for something embarrassingly bad; otherwise, avoid it.
