Review of New Year's Eve (2011) by Jeramie K — 22 Nov 2012
New Year's Eve tried pulling off a Crash-esquee coming together of a conclusion but didn't quite make it there.
It was fun seeing the star-studded cast and guessing who would make an appearance next. However, it's telling when arguably Zac Efron (admittedly accompanied by Michelle Pfeiffer) steals the show.
The script was mostly a flop, but each character did have a good line or two to deliver. In the end, while fun, it just didn't all come together as I am sure Garry Marshall had imagined. It felt disjointed, lost, discombobulated.
