I saw this movie because I used to live in new ulm, and I still miss it. otherwise, the story didn't grab my attention so much, although I do like ren�©e zellweger. sadly, they did not film it in new ulm; in fact, they moved the town east by quite a bit.

and nobody talks that way, or at least not very many people do. it's actually that part that made the movie hard for me to sit through, but there were some funny parts, and then there were warm fuzzy moments at the end.
