Review of New in Town (2009) by Tabitha W — 18 May 2010
After reading some reviews I was put off from watching this film. I finally decided to watch it despite the bad reviews. My opinion is: I thought this was a cute film. A light romantic comedy, not as funny as I expected but still good for a few laughs.
The acting is good and the story was good. Not the best film ever but it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The story was simple, yes but it still was entertaining. The film is slow paced and doesn't really pick up.
Renée Zellweger is the same as she is in most romantic comedies but I really enjoyed Harry Connick Jr's performance. Overall I thought this film was good. I would say don't expect much when watching this film and you night be surprised.
