Review of Neverwas (2005) by Tim O — 20 Nov 2007
A forgotten gem? Probably, because as far as I know this movie never got a release on theatres, which is criminal. Aaron Eckhart plays Zachary Pierce, a psychiatrist who discovers a man named Gabriel (Ian McKellan) in the asylum he works now.
What fascinates him about Gabriel is that he seems to believe he lives in the world that his deceased father, Thomas Pierce (Nick Nolte), created in his children's book. It's a very interesting fantasy-melodrama with a top-notch cast and a very god script.
I can't understand why it never got any promotion.
