Review of Network (1976) by Steve M — 13 Feb 2010
Great acting with a great screen play equels one of the best satires ever made. A truely remarkable film. Faye Dunaway, and Peter Finch both won acadamy awards and deserved them. William Holden was Outstanding as always and gives a oscar caliber performance, unfortunetly there could only be 1 best actor and it had to be Peter Finch.
Finch's performance is powerfull, commanding, and memorable. Its peter finch that makes the film the classic it is today. Every single performance is outstanding, Ned Beatty, Robert Duvall, etc. to the point where this and a streetcar name desire can be called the best acted movie ever made.
Also Sidney Lumet is outstanding in his direction. He portrays the obserdity of a tv station so serious that its very believable but also dosen't let us forget that its a satire. Great movie, and an unforgettable viewing expierience.
