Review of Network (1976) by Jim R — 16 Jan 2011
A goddamned masterpiece. I watched it for the first time in years and it's every bit as powerful and perhaps even more relevant than ever. In my younger days, I somehow missed the devastating suggestion that we've reached a point at which the only kind of revolution possible is media-manufactured, market-motivated, audience participation style insurrection.
It rings too true. "You're madness, Diana and everything you touch dies with you.".
