Review of Network (1976) by Brandon L — 05 Nov 2011
Network, a 70's classic, is director Sidney Lumet's brilliant criticism of the hollow, lurid wasteland of television journalism where entertainment value and short-term ratings trample the truth and what the world should know.
The heart of the film however tells the story of a retiring old man who either seeks revenge or love; he wins both though, with dire consequences. Brilliant and only for mature audience.
